As many of our patients are already aware, Dr. Kasprenski has moved on from the practice to return to his hometown in Pennsylvania. He has provided our patients with exceptional care and we wish him well.
As the President of Eye Center of Virginia, I would like to proudly introduce Dr. Fadee Bittar, our new Associate Doctor. I have known Dr. Bittar for 15 years now and know him to be a personable, dedicated, loyal, and experienced clinician. Dr. Bittar grew up on the Island of Antigua in the Caribbean Islands. It was here that his grandmother, who was partially blind from macular degeneration, inspired him to choose the eye care field as his profession. Practicing for 16 years in Hampton Roads, he lives in Newport News with his wife and three beautiful children.
He completed his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree at University of Western Ontario in London, Canada where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He completed his medical training at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA, where he was also an honors graduate. His training has been quite comprehensive including a rotation in a prestigious surgical practice where he worked closely with glaucoma and retinal surgeons. He also spent months training in the Veteran’s Hospital System at the Newington VA Medical Center in Connecticut where he served and worked closely on our nation’s veterans.
Dr. Bittar comes with exceptional skills and experience no doubt, but his greatest strength may be that he is an extraordinarily personable and compassionate person. To quote his philosophy on patient care: “I care for every patient as I would care for a loved one, providing them with the best quality eye care to ultimately enhance their quality of life”.
Please join me in welcoming Dr. Bittar to Eye Center of Virginia!
